About the Internship

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales & Marketing Intern to join our dynamic Injectables team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a real-world working environment, allowing you to establish and lead meaningful projects. Through this experience, you will significantly enhance your marketability, gain invaluable insights, and contribute substantial value to our organization, all while building a professional network. As an intern, you will play an active role in the discovery, development, and delivery of our critical pharmaceutical products to patients and customers.

This particular role will involve supporting the Inside Sales team based in our Chicago office, with a significant focus on the upcoming TYZAVAN product launch. You will provide crucial assistance with sales analytics, the creation of compelling customer presentations, and fostering collaboration with our field teams. This internship is designed to offer hands-on exposure to the intricacies of pharmaceutical sales, equipping you with the skills to develop data-driven insights that directly support sales strategy and execution.

The internship is scheduled to commence in May and will conclude no later than August.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales & Marketing Intern, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Providing essential support to the Inside Sales team during the TYZAVAN launch through comprehensive data analysis and reporting.
  • Analyzing key metrics such as sales performance, call activity, and customer funnel data to identify critical trends and uncover new opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining various reports, dashboards, and trackers crucial for supporting sales strategy and prioritization efforts.
  • Assisting in the formulation of territory- and account-level strategies, leveraging sales forecasting and deep customer insights.
  • Shadowing Inside Sales Representatives to gain practical knowledge of sales methodologies, effective customer engagement techniques, and best practices in pharmaceutical selling.
  • Contributing to cross-functional projects related to product launch execution, sales operations optimization, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining data integrity across all sales systems.
  • Collaborating closely with sales leadership to present analytical findings and provide actionable recommendations.

Education & Experience:

  • Must be an Undergraduate currently pursuing a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Must have completed at least 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other relevant coursework.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, formulas, and data organization.
  • Experience with Power BI or CRM systems is a plus.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities within sales data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Professional communication and strong collaboration skills.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Ethic & Organizational Skills:

  • Ability to work independently while effectively supporting a team-driven environment.
  • A proactive approach with a sense of urgency to efficiently manage inquiries.
  • Ability to manage multiple project activities under general supervision.
  • Must be organized and highly detail/deadline oriented.

General Requirements:

  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction; no sponsorship is offered at this time.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
