Job Description
Title: Intern – Roc Nation Sports
Location: New York, NY (In-Person, Unpaid, For College Credit)
About the Role:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of talent representation. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learning the ins and outs of the business and contributing to real projects.
Key Areas of Learning:
• Client Recruiting: Understand the process of identifying and attracting new clients to the agency.
• Contract Evaluation: Learn how to analyze and negotiate contracts for athletes.
• Commercial Endorsements: Gain insight into securing and managing lucrative endorsement deals.
• Data and Analytics: Discover how data is used to inform strategy and decision-making.
• Social and Digital Media: Learn about managing athletes’ online presence and maximizing brand reach.
• Player Marketing: Develop marketing strategies for promoting athletes and their brands.
• Public Relations: Understand the role of public relations in shaping an athlete’s image and reputation.
Requirements:
• Current Enrollment: You must be a student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited college or university.
• Academic Credit Eligibility: Your program must allow you to receive academic credit for the duration of the internship.
• Sports Knowledge: A strong familiarity with professional and college sports teams and athletes is essential.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Documents, and social media platforms is required.
• Presentation Skills: Familiarity with Keynote/PowerPoint and Photoshop is beneficial.
Internship Details:
• Duration: Spring semester.
• Compensation: Unpaid.
• Hours: Flexible, with a minimum requirement of 16 hours per week.
• COVID-19 Vaccination: A mandatory requirement for this position.
