Job Description: Retail Performance Intern
This internship will provide a valuable learning experience within Fendi’s US retail operations, focusing on sales performance analysis and improvement. The intern will work closely with the Sr. Manager, Retail Performance.
Responsibilities:
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of luxury retail: Learn how a luxury retail network functions strategically and operationally from both a management and retail perspective.
• Performance measurement and improvement: Understand methodologies for measuring retail network performance and participate in developing improvement plans.
• Enhance analytical skills: The role will significantly strengthen analytical capabilities through hands-on experience.
• Database understanding: Learn the construction and functionality of retail databases.
• Reporting and dashboard design: Assist in diagnosing existing reporting tools and reports. Design future reporting dashboards for Client Advisors and Management using Microsoft Business Intelligence applications, and oversee their implementation across the organization.
• Sales performance analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of sales performance to identify opportunities by market, store, and product category.
• Incentive program support: Assist in proposing, implementing, measuring the impact of, and gathering feedback on sales team incentives and contests.
• Action plan development: Collaborate with the Sr. Manager to create and consolidate action plans to boost retail network performance.
• Presentation preparation: Support the Sr. Manager in preparing presentations for Top Management and Business Reviews.
• Internal Communications: Assist in communicating key initiatives to the retail network via the company’s internal platform.
Qualifications:
• Availability: Must be available Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel (including VBA skills).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities are essential.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Motivation: Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
