The Tone:
Legrand specializes in electrical and digital building infrastructures and designs high-performance LED lighting solutions. This intern will join the Finelite Production/Engineer team, collaborating with manufacturing leadership and personnel. This role helps standardize processes and reduce waste, directly improving manufacturing efficiency and transforming spaces.

• Mission: Document processes, assist training, and optimize manufacturing to reduce waste and non-value tasks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Documenting: Document current and new processes via operational methods sheets to provide standardization and consistency.
• Training: Assist with weekly factory-wide training on topics such as 5S factory practices or tailored projects.
• Optimization: Lean out existing manufacturing processes in order to reduce waste, time, and non-value-added tasks.
• Learning: Work directly with the manufacturing floor to learn first-hand about product manufacturing and production.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled student interested in manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience: Proven ability to understand and follow instructions; strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficiency.
