A&R Discovery Intern | Create Music Group

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Create Music Group, located in Los Angeles, CA. Established in 2015, Create Music Group is a leading music and entertainment company that operates as a record label, distribution company, and entertainment network, generating over 15 billion music streams monthly. The company, which includes Label Engine and Flighthouse, has experienced exponential growth by leveraging its owned IP and technology. This role supports artist discovery for the TripleThreat division, offering hands-on exposure to A&R, marketing, and digital rights, providing a unique learning opportunity within a modern music company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• A&R Research: Discover new artists and creators using both software and personal research methods.
• Data Gathering: Gather data and pitch potential signings to the A&R team.
• Marketing Support: Assist on various marketing tasks for the artist roster.
• Digital Rights Support: Assist on various digital rights tasks for the artist roster.
• Administrative Support: Perform day-to-day administrative tasks as needed for the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current student familiar with and passionate about hip hop music, culture, and content.
• Experience: Well-versed in internet culture and social media platforms, with experience consuming and studying YouTube and TikTok content.
• Skills: Proficient with Mac OSX, Microsoft Office, and Google Apps, possesses great communication skills, and the ability to manage time wisely and stay focused between tasks.
• Bonus: Driven to pursue a career in the music or entertainment industry, preferably with relevant internship or work experience.
