Job Description: Intern – Master Data

Job Purpose and Impact: The Intern – Master Data will handle basic vendor master data management processes and governance. This role serves as the primary contact for end-user requests regarding the creation, recording, updating, and deletion of indirect vendor data across various enterprise applications and systems. The intern will monitor data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring adherence to established standards, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key Accountabilities:

• Partner with businesses and requesters to validate vendor data before profile creation, including compliance checks and preventing duplicate entries.
• Support end-to-end vendor master data initiatives and maintain clear communication with the master data management team.
• Establish master data reporting, measure compliance, and promote data stewardship.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor master data management efficiency and quality, exploring opportunities for data standardization.
• Handle basic issues under supervision, escalating complex problems to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned. Team assignment will be determined during the selection process based on candidate performance and preferences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in standard office software and applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end vendor setup, maintenance, and governance processes.
• Experience in risk and control assessment and identifying improvement opportunities.
