Job Description: Intern – New York Investments Team

Affinius Capital is seeking Interns to join its New York Investments team for the Summer of 2026. This role is a full-time, onsite position in the New York office, requiring availability for at least 10 consecutive weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluating and underwriting prospective investment opportunities.
Executing and closing transactions involving various property types.
• Performing due diligence, which includes completing market analysis and coordinating with third-party service providers.
• Generating financial analysis and preparing investment committee memoranda that detail investment rationale, execution risks, and prospective returns.
• Assisting in the implementation of business plans, covering aspects like leasing, financing, disposition, and ongoing portfolio surveillance.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university. An estimated graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027 is required. Preferred majors include Finance, Economics, Business, Architecture, or Real Estate, though they are not mandatory.
Academic Performance: An excellent academic background with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above is preferred.
Demonstrated Interest: Applicants should show a clear interest in real estate through previous internships, extracurricular activities, or coursework.
Work Ethic: Requires strong attention to detail and a robust work ethic.
Collaboration: Must be a team player capable of working effectively in a collaborative environment.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and financial modeling is preferred but not strictly required.
Availability: Must be available for full-time work onsite in the New York office for a minimum of 10 consecutive weeks during the summer.

Compensation:

The starting hourly rate for this role is estimated at $50.00. Interns may also be eligible to participate in other employee benefit programs, subject to specific terms and eligibility requirements.
