Job Description:

STI-TEC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern in Computer Science to join their team. This internship offers an opportunity to apply engineering knowledge to real-world projects within the GovCon sector, specifically in Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E). The intern will collaborate with seasoned professionals, gaining hands-on experience in supporting mission systems and the warfighter.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of aerospace systems and components.
• Support the development and validation of simulation models for flight dynamics and performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to conduct experiments, gather data, and analyze results.
• Participate in project documentation, including reports and presentations summarizing findings.
• Stay current with advancements in aerospace technologies and methodologies.
• Engage in team meetings, contributing ideas and solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• A passion for aerospace systems and a desire to support national defense initiatives.
• U.S. Citizenship

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with fluid dynamics, structural analysis, or propulsion systems.
• Understanding of aerospace regulations and industry standards.
• Interest in government contracting and defense-related projects.
