Job Description: Intern, Hydrogen Product & Infrastructure Development

This internship offers a chance to shape the future of clean energy by supporting the implementation of a cutting-edge technology and business development strategy for hydrogen infrastructure in California. The intern will work with the Commercial Vehicle & Hydrogen team across North America, collaborating with external business allies, government agencies, and R&D institutes.

Key Responsibilities:

Desk research: Collecting information, analyzing trends, and assessing the landscape of the hydrogen economy.
Networking:** Contacting public and private institutions to identify opportunities for Hyundai’s involvement in the hydrogen economy.
Government Liaison:** Working with state officials to facilitate the development of Hydrogen Hubs.
Grant Applications:** Initiating applications for central/local government eco-friendly subsidy programs.

Specific tasks will include:

• Tracking essential state government incentives.
• Engaging with newly established hydrogen hubs throughout the U.S.

Eligibility and Requirements:

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term.
• Expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
Local to Fountain Valley, CA (no relocation assistance provided).
• Eligible to work up to 40 hours per week in the US.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4 days per week).
• High school graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering preferred).
• Relevant research experience in renewables and sustainability.
• Experience in government relations and state/federal government-granted projects.
• Strong cross-cultural communication, analytical, presentation, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and PowerPoint skills. Ability to synthesize information effectively.

Compensation: $25.00/hour
