Job Description: Intern, Human Resources

This is a full-time paid internship (June-August 2025) located at Hyundai’s National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. Only local candidates are considered; no relocation or housing is offered. The internship offers a rotational experience across various HR functions, providing hands-on experience and professional development.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with HR team members and business stakeholders on assigned projects and tasks within different HR departments.
• Research industry best practices to help develop new programs or processes.
• Create detailed reports, analytics, and feedback for HR leadership.
• Participate in professional development and networking opportunities with other interns.

Rotational Areas:

Recruitment: Assisting in identifying and attracting top talent.
Onboarding: Creating a welcoming environment for new hires.
Total Rewards: Understanding compensation and recognition.
Employee Relations: Contributing to a positive work culture.
• Other HR areas based on interest and availability.

The internship aims to enrich skills, build professional connections, and allow interns to make a tangible impact. Interns will be expected to demonstrate enthusiasm, purpose, and a desire to contribute to the future of HR at Hyundai. The internship is specifically designed for undergraduate or graduate students.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term.
• Expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Legally authorized to work in the US full-time during the internship.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week).
• Availability for a hybrid schedule (3-4 days on-site per week).
• Local to Fountain Valley, CA (no relocation assistance).

Compensation and Schedule:

• $25.00/hour
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate required.
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, or Business Management.
• 2+ years of work experience is preferred (automotive experience a plus).

Skills/Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and interest in supporting a team.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
