The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off
• Location: In-person Melbourne, FL
• Mission: Manages various financial functions associated with business acquisition processes and program execution to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Microsoft Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Management: Manage the financial functions associated with the business acquisition process (proposals) and program execution process (programs).
• Invoice Generation: Set up, validate, and generate complex invoices for various customers.
• Compliance and Timeliness: Ensure all assigned invoices are processed and completed in a timely manner according to contract terms and conditions.
• Stakeholder Guidance: Provide daily customer interface and billing guidance to Contracts and Program Finance teams.
• Financial Accuracy: Perform required invoice and account receivable reconciliations to ensure billing accuracy and support the cash application process through research and reconciliation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: Entry-level internship experience for individuals currently enrolled in a relevant degree program.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Bonus: Knowledge of cost/schedule development, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, financial modeling, corporate forecasting, and/or business acquisitions; familiarity with Contract Compliance and Negotiation; experience with customer/management reporting.
