The Opportunity: Intern, Finance & Treasury
We are actively seeking bright, ambitious student interns to join our Finance & Treasury team at our Home Office in Columbia, MO for the Summer of 2026. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring finance professionals to gain hands-on experience, contribute to critical projects, and develop foundational skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You’ll work a structured schedule of Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive learning experience.
What You’ll Be Doing & How You’ll Contribute
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with our dedicated Treasury Department on diverse project-based initiatives, engaging with various internal departments to bolster our financial operations and strategy.
- Asset Management Excellence: Collaborate directly with lenders and internal teams to meticulously track the journey of sold assets, ensuring every task is completed with precision and punctuality.
- Lease Administration Stewardship: Play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and consistency of our lease data, actively monitoring assets throughout their entire lease lifecycle to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Treasury Operations Support: Contribute to core treasury functions, including the maintenance of comprehensive bank account summaries and conducting in-depth vendor analyses crucial for mergers and acquisitions activities.
- Process Optimization: Actively participate in reviewing and refining current financial processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and implement scalable solutions.
- Data-Driven Insights: Assist in the crucial area of data visualization and reporting, leveraging powerful tools such as Alteryx, Microsoft Excel, and other business intelligence platforms to generate actionable insights.

Who You Are: The Ideal Candidate

- Academic Foundation: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Financial Acumen: Possess a solid basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and core financial principles and terms, demonstrated by satisfactorily completing a variety of relevant accounting courses.
- Strong Academic Record: Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, reflecting your commitment to academic excellence.
- Exceptional Communication: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for collaborative team environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and similar business intelligence (BI) tools, ready to analyze and interpret data effectively.
