Job Description: Intern, Finance

Location: Richmond, VA

This is a project-based internship within the Case Finance organization of DFR’s Hillphoenix Case division. The intern will work on projects within one of the following disciplines:

Financial Planning & Analysis: Involving tasks such as business case development, monthly/quarterly reporting, and working with internal stakeholders on productivity improvements.
Accounting: Contributing to various accounting tasks, specifics not detailed.
Pricing and Commercial Reporting: Analyzing pricing strategies and creating reports related to commercial activities.

Potential Projects Include:

• Business case development
• monthly/quarterly reporting
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders on productivity initiatives
• Product line financials review
• Customer profitability analysis
• Power BI report development

The intern will receive coaching, mentoring, and direction from their manager and will be guided by established goals and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Enrollment in a 4-year Finance or Accounting degree program.
• Completion of the Junior year of college by May 2025.
• Fundamental proficiency with Microsoft Office 360 (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Effective research and communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities.
