Job Description

Role Title: Intern, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

Team: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

Team Mission: The ERM team helps Robinhood establish a robust risk program by utilizing risk frameworks and other tools to proactively identify and manage risks across the entire company.

Intern Role Summary: As an Intern on the Enterprise Risk Management team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the development and execution of enterprise-wide risk practices. You will assist the team in assessing risks throughout the company and play a crucial role in identifying and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to strengthen Robinhood’s overall risk posture.

Location: This role is based in Robinhood’s Menlo Park or New York offices, with an expectation of in-person attendance at least 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

• Support various ERM programs, including the identification, escalation, monitoring, and reporting of risks across the organization.
• Develop a solid understanding of one of Robinhood’s business processes, technologies, products, and their associated risks.
• Support the core risk team in assessing company-wide risks by participating in enterprise-wide risk and control assessments for new and existing products, top and emerging risks, processes, and/or initiatives.
• Assist in identifying relevant Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) across different lines of business and products, and help establish mechanisms for monitoring and escalating them when necessary.
• Foster collaborative and positive relationships with business and risk management teams across the organization through regular touchpoints and working groups.
• Contribute to risk awareness initiatives by assisting with risk workshops, training materials, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

• Currently enrolled in a full-time, masters program in accounting, business, finance, Data Analytics, economics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date in Winter 2026/Spring 2027.
• Demonstrated strong analytical abilities, critical “outside-the-box” thinking, and curiosity about risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and possess a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and balance multiple priorities effectively.
• Prior experiences or internships in financial services, risk/finance, or consulting is considered a plus.

Compensation Details (Hourly Ranges based on location):
Base pay depends on various job-related factors including education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC): $31—$31 USD
Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL): $27—$27 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL): $24—$24 USD
