Job Description: Intern Engineering
The Fluid Control Division is seeking a Design Engineering Co-op to join their team. This is a paid, full-time (40 hours per week) opportunity running from July 2025 to December 31, 2025 (6 months), with the possibility of extending it to a full year. The hourly rate is anticipated to be $23/hour.
As a co-op engineer, you will assist in the design and development of solenoid valves and fluid flow control systems for customer-specific applications and provide engineering support to resolve day-to-day product-related manufacturing issues.
Responsibilities may include:
• Design work
• Building and testing prototypes
• Creating test plans
• Functional evaluation of new and existing designs
• Creating product validation reports
• Creating cost estimates
• Participating in cost reduction activities
• Creating assembly work instructions and test procedures
• Problem-solving/failure analysis
Qualifications:
• Current Engineering student, preferably Junior or Senior year
• A good foundation in the basic principles of mechanical engineering
• Coursework or experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: machine design, structures, solid mechanics, fluids, electromechanical devices.
• Good organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
• Mechanically inclined and have experience operating equipment including (but not limited to); power tools, mechanical tools, and measurement devices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
Technical knowledge/experience in the following areas is a plus:
• Manufacturing methods such as turning, milling, injection molding
• Interpreting engineering drawings
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Inventor/AutoCAD software
• 3D Modeling and related analytical analysis software
