Intern, Corporate Strategy

As an Intern, Corporate Strategy, you will gain invaluable experience contributing directly to the core strategic initiatives and cross-functional project coordination that drive the Genesis brand forward. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of our business strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Launch Governance: Track and monitor progress on critical product launch activities, ensuring seamless coordination across various inter-departmental workstreams to meet strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Project Support: Actively contribute to diverse cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing brand development and/or supporting individual model lines. Examples include optimizing the dealer sales experience, aiding in margin program development, and executing/tracking brand health roadmaps.
  • GMA Governance Support: Assist in the effective governance of Genesis Motor America (GMA) initiatives by ensuring all appropriate timelines and checkpoints are meticulously executed and documented in advance of executive reviews.

Internship Details & Logistics:

  • Internship Period: Full-time paid internship available from June to August 2026.
  • Location: This position requires candidates to be local to Fountain Valley, CA. Please note that relocation assistance or housing will not be offered.
  • Work Schedule: Expected to work up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Educational Requirements:

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s candidate).

Required Skills & Knowledge:

We are seeking candidates with a strong blend of analytical, technical, and interpersonal abilities:

  • Technical & Analytical Skills:
    • Experience with system integrations and platform start-ups.
    • Proficiency in working with data sets for reporting and analytics.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
    • Exceptional computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Experience creating, reviewing, and editing professional presentations.
  • Process & Organizational Skills:
    • Experience with process-mapping and developing learner guides.
    • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Work Ethic:
    • Self-motivated with high initiative and the ability to work independently.

Valued Experience & Preferences (A Plus):

  • Guest-Facing Experience: Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or other guest-facing roles.
  • Industry Passion: A genuine passion for automobiles, the automotive industry, and luxury products.
  • Domain Experience: Previous experience within the automotive, dealership, or luxury product sectors.
  • Hospitality & Guest Experience: Demonstrated skills in hospitality and enhancing guest experiences.
  • Financial Acumen: Knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
  • Advanced Software: Experience with Alteryx and Tableau.
