Job Description:
This internship within the Corporate Accounting department offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an intern, you will contribute to a range of responsibilities, including:
• Gaining insights into the operations of Fixed Assets and Capital Job set up: Understanding the processes involved in managing fixed assets and capital projects.
• Participating in the 10Q reporting process: Assisting in compiling information and schedules for quarterly reports.
• Preparing account reconciliations: Analyzing and reconciling various accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Understanding the impact of Corporate Accounting: Developing a comprehensive understanding of the function’s role in the Finance team and its influence on core business operations across the organization.
• Assisting with ad hoc and external audit requests: Supporting the accounting team in responding to various requests.
• Building familiarity with automation and process improvement: Exploring how technology can streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Expanding experience with data extraction tools: Becoming proficient in using tools to extract and analyze data.
Qualifications:
• Accounting or Finance major with a minimum GPA of 3.25: A strong academic foundation in accounting or finance is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills: The ability to collaborate effectively with team members and various departments.
• Analytical and inquisitive personality: A keen eye for detail and a desire to understand the underlying causes of financial data.
• Growth mindset with multitasking skills: A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and technology: Comfort and aptitude for utilizing new technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills: Proficiency in these software applications is crucial.
