Assurance Intern – Winter 2027 | RSM France
The Tone:
This is an internship at RSM France, located at various client locations where travel is required. RSM is a leading global provider of professional services to the middle market, dedicated to instilling confidence in a world of change. This role is crucial for empowering clients and people to realize their full potential by providing essential support in understanding businesses, assessing risks, and resolving accounting issues.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, various client locations (travel required)
• Pay: $34–$40 hourly
• Mission: Assurance Interns help clients understand their businesses and challenges by assessing risks, evaluating internal controls, and performing substantive tests to resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Tech Stack: MS Office
What You’ll Actually Do
• Understand: Understand clients’ specific needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values, and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
• Develop: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the RSM audit approach and proprietary tools.
• Assess: Assess financial risks and evaluate the client’s internal control structure to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Perform: Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve any accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft: Draft financial statements according to prescribed formats and regulatory requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently working towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university, with an Accounting Major, and have completed 90 credit hours.
• Experience: Required to travel to assigned client locations and must have access to, and ability to arrange for the use of, reliable modes of transportation to those locations.
• Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including MS Office, and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Bonus: A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred, along with motivation to work in a fast-paced environment, a client-focused approach, and the ability to multitask effectively.
