Job Description: Internship
This role describes an internship experience designed for collegiate volunteers.
• Job Title: Intern (Collegiate Volunteer)
• Nature of Role: A learning and developmental ministry experience within FCA.
• Duration: Typically offered for a summer or a semester.
• Compensation: Interns are not considered employees and do not receive hourly pay or compensation based on work production. However, they may receive a nominal stipend to cover living-related expenses during the internship period.
• Primary Goal: To develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through relevant training and practical experience.
• Variations: Internship experiences can vary from one location to another. Specific details for each internship are available by contacting the associated FCA staff.
• Ministerial Duties (Core Responsibilities): These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and are expected to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God:
• Agree with and abide by FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Maintain a personal spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study, to seek the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Provide spiritual leadership to staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and by living as an example, thereby equipping them to serve others.
• Actively connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Conduct oneself at all times in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct, in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs as outlined in their Christian Community Statement.
