The Atrium, established in 2017 in Bloomington, Indiana, is a premier concert venue known for attracting notable artists. It focuses on providing experiences for college students and promoting inclusivity and diversity within the local music and arts scene.
Job Description:
The Atrium is hiring up to eight interns for the fall 2020 semester due to rapid growth. Interns will choose one of six cognates (specialized areas of focus):
• Sound Engineer: Learn to run live sound and shows firsthand from partners at Goedde Sound and Light.
• Lighting Engineering or Lighting Design: Learn to operate Grand MA2 lighting rigs, starting in “The Jungle” for approximately four weeks before transitioning to the main Atrium rig.
• Photography: Capture the “experience” of events, working within specific criteria to produce content for Kilroy’s social channels and digital platforms.
• Videography: Capture the “experience” of events with tasks given each event. Capture crowd shots backstage, in the crowd, on the rail, and in the lighting booth. Produce short video clips for Kilroy’s social channels and digital platforms.
• Marketing Operations: Gain exposure to social media, print, and experiential marketing, including planning, execution, and measurement strategies.
• Digital Marketing: Work with various digital platforms, including social media, Eventbrite, Shopify, websites, SEO, and other digital music platforms.
Requirement:
• Must be 18 years of age.
