Job Description:
This is an internship opportunity with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), designed to help student athletes explore their calling and career while gaining exposure to various aspects of ministry through FCA.
Key Details:
• Volunteer Role: Interns are collegiate volunteers, not employees.
• No Compensation: Interns do not receive hourly wages or payment for work produced.
• Stipend: A nominal stipend may be provided for living-related expenses during the internship.
• Focus on Development: The internship aims to develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through training and experience.
• Location-Specific: Internship experiences vary by location.
Ministerial Duties:
These duties are integral to the FCA mission and the intern’s role in the ministry. All responsibilities should be carried out with a spirit of service and worship to God.
• Adherence to FCA’s Christian Community Statement: Interns must agree with and abide by this statement.
• Spiritual Practices: Interns must follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Spiritual Leadership: Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example, so they are equipped to serve others.
• Church Involvement: Interns should connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Biblical Conduct: Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs (see FCA’s Christian Community Statement) at all times.
