This specific job opportunity is for a thesis internship at the Boeing Innovation Lab in Frankfurt, Germany. The lab focuses on addressing emerging trends and technologies through groundbreaking innovative ideas, covering topics such as autonomy, urban air mobility, future flight operations, and machine learning applications. As an intern, you will contribute by performing your thesis within the team. This involves working in an interdisciplinary environment, collaborating with stakeholders worldwide, and contributing to shaping the future of the aviation industry.
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Aerospace, Human Factors/Psychology, Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science, Autonomy, Medical Technology, or Machine Learning. They must be able to work effectively within an international team, be proactive in sharing ideas, think abstractly, connect ideas to solutions, be enthusiastic about new projects, adapt to new and unfamiliar topics, and be fluent in English (both written and verbal). Preferred qualifications include proficiency in German, though it is not required.
This is a locally hired position in Germany. Candidates must have legal authorization to work immediately in Germany, as Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. The position does not offer relocation, so candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll.
