Job Description:
NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California are seeking a highly motivated, sports-minded intern to collaborate closely with their digital team. The intern will assist in writing, editing, social media curation, and the overall production of daily content for the website and app. This internship provides an opportunity to develop writing and editing skills, enhance editorial judgment, gain real-world newsroom experience, and build practical skills with CMS and web publishing programs.
Responsibilities:
• Pitch story ideas/angles around local teams.
• Monitor Google Trends and social media trending topics for relevant story ideas.
• Write assigned stories.
• Monitor news conferences and other sources for story leads/ideas.
• Cut and post in-game social media clips to Twitter and Instagram.
