Job Description:

• Job Title: Intern
• Department: Jacksonville – CED
• Location: FL-Jacksonville
• Summary: This internship is designed for sales-oriented candidates interested in sales or management. It’s a structured 10-12 week paid introductory course that provides a working knowledge of the electrical distribution field. It involves exposure to all aspects of the industry through mentoring and on-the-job training.
• Responsibilities: The program requires a strong commitment and includes warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, counter sales, sales and interpersonal skills, customer relations, and CED business philosophy. Interns will have the opportunity to work on special projects such as market sales or customer analysis, as well as custom-designed projects by the management team and the intern.
• Reports to: Profit Center Manager
• Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
• Detail oriented
• Ability to solve problems
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
• Working Conditions: Conditions vary based on the training segment and include warehouse, office, and external environments. May include lifting, sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.

• Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.
