GE Vernova, Grid Solutions develops digital solutions to manage the global electrical grid efficiently, focusing on energy transition, grid stability, environmental compliance, and cost reduction. The digital center of excellence, located in Casablanca, develops and provides digital solutions to protect and control critical equipment in high-voltage substations, serving both current and future grid needs.
Job Description:
As part of the digital COE team, the intern will participate in developing technical solutions for projects aimed at creating new low-carbon footprint switchgear chambers.
In the context of developing new digital solutions within the Digital Center of Excellence for High Voltage equipment monitoring (circuit breakers / disconnectors / power transformers), the proposed internship topics will focus on:
• Developing a simulator for monitoring insulating gas in high-voltage electrical switchgear (circuit breakers/disconnectors).
• Developing an application for analyzing and filtering current/voltage transient regimes during high-voltage circuit breaker operations, within the framework of CSD 100 (Controlled Switching Devices).
• Developing a simulator for concentrations of different dissolved gases in power transformer insulating oil.
The intern(s) will be trained during the initial period of the mission on the high-voltage switchgear environment, HMIs/IEDs.
They may also contribute to other related subjects in line with the project’s needs.
They may also be required to perform programming related to the internship topic on IEDs.
Skills & Qualities Required
Know-how
Required: Electronics/ Industrial IT/ PLC Programming (C#, Python)
Preferred: Signal Processing / Electrotechnics / Proficiency in C# .NET (WPF) programming
