• Summary: The internship is designed for candidates who are sales oriented and interested in sales or management. The paid 10-12 week introductory course provides a working knowledge of the electrical distribution field by exposing interns to all aspects of the business through mentoring and on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exposure to all aspects of the electrical distribution field, including:
• Warehouse operations
• Shipping and receiving
• Counter sales
• Sales and interpersonal skills
• Customer relations
• CED business philosophy
• Opportunity to work on special projects such as:
• Market sales analysis
• Customer analysis
• Other projects custom designed by the management team and the intern
• Learning all aspects of the CED business.
• Communicating effectively (both written and spoken) in English.

Reports To: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary based on the intern’s current segment of training and will include warehouse, office, and external environments. Activities may include lifting, sorting, standing, and possible exposure to extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.
