Job Title: Intern

Department: San Carlos – CED

Location: CA-San Carlos

Summary:

This is a paid, structured introductory course designed to provide candidates with a working knowledge of the electrical distribution industry. Interns will be exposed to all aspects of the field through mentoring and on-the-job training. The program involves a strong commitment from each participant and encompasses areas such as:

• Warehouse operations
• Shipping and receiving
• Counter sales

Interns will also have the opportunity to work on special projects designed by the management team to enhance their understanding of the electrical industry.

Reports To: Profit Center Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Detail oriented
• Ability to solve problems
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary and will include warehouse and external environments. Activities may include lifting, sorting, standing, and potential exposure to extreme heat/cold conditions during some segments.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Essential Job Functions:

• Learning all aspects of the CED business
• Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.

Compensation Range:

$23 to $23 hourly.
