Summary:
This is a paid, structured introductory course designed to provide interns with a working knowledge of the electrical distribution industry. The internship exposes participants to various aspects of the field through mentoring and on-the-job training, including warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and counter sales. Interns will also work on special projects designed by the management team to enhance their understanding of the electrical industry.
Reports To: Profit Center Manager
Essential Job Functions:
• Learning all aspects of the CED business
• Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Detail oriented
• Ability to solve problems
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Working Conditions:
Conditions vary and will include warehouse and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions.
Compensation Range:
$23 to $23 hourly.
