Job Description:
CED is seeking an Intern for their California Gold Division in Fresno, CA. This is a paid, highly structured 10-12 week introductory course designed for sales-oriented candidates interested in sales or management within the electrical distribution field. The internship provides a working knowledge of the industry through exposure to various aspects of the business via mentoring and on-the-job training.
As an intern, you will gain experience in:
• Warehouse operations
• Shipping and receiving
• Counter sales
• Sales and interpersonal skills
• Customer relations
• CED business philosophy
Interns will also have the opportunity to work on special projects such as market sales or customer analysis, tailored by the management team and the intern.
Responsibilities Include:
• Learning all aspects of the CED business.
• Communicating effectively – both written and spoken – in English.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
Working Conditions:
Vary based on the training segment, including warehouse, office, and external environments. May involve lifting, sorting, standing, and exposure to extreme heat/cold. Office segments may involve prolonged sitting.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation:
$20 to $23 hourly.
