Job Description:
Lensa is seeking an Intern for Navy Federal Credit Union’s Desktop Governance & Compliance team in Vienna, VA. The intern will support the team in ensuring the end-user computing environment maintains operational efficiency, stability, and security.
Responsibilities:
• Performs work in support of the Desktop Governance & Compliance team and assists in areas including New Desktop Software requests, Patch Management, Access & Records Management, and Audit & Risk Management
• Conduct benchmarking and trend analysis to drive continuous improvement, establish preventative processes, and elevate service performance.
• Prepare summaries and present findings using Microsoft PowerPoint, Power BI, and similar presentation and reporting tools.
• Assists Desktop Governance & Compliance Analysts with the creation and maintenance of documentation of business/system processes, data analytics, and reporting
• Assists the Desktop Governance & Compliance Analysts with project coordination, task management, issue tracking, meeting minutes, and facilitation
• Applies knowledge gained from a degree program in day-to-day duties/responsibilities
• Expanded work engagements as required skill sets are developed/matured
• Build effective relationships with team members, management, and key stakeholders. Ensure compliance with Navy Federal Credit Union Information Security and Enterprise Technology Service standards and best practices.
• Provides exceptional customer service
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Strong desire to work in an IT environment, specifically in Desktop Governance & Compliance
• Clear and concise verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Effective facilitation skills when presenting findings, conclusions, and other information to various audiences.
• Effective planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge or use of MS365 Office Suite, including Word templates and Excel pivot tables
• Demonstrate problem-solving, analytical, and process development skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to exercise initiative, produce desired results, and achieve objectives
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment and receive guidance and direction from management and senior-level staff
• Ability to apply sound judgment in analyzing and organizing problems for technical solutions
• Ability to use resources to maintain accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Must be a team player with a cooperative and energetic spirit with a willingness to learn
