Job Description:
• Job Title: Intern
• Department: San Carlos – CED
• Location: CA-San Carlos
Summary: This is a paid, structured introductory course providing a working knowledge of the electrical distribution industry. The program involves mentoring and on-the-job training, exposing interns to all aspects of the field, including warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and counter sales. Interns will work on special projects designed by the management team to enhance understanding of the electrical industry.
• Reports to: Profit Center Manager
Essential Job Functions:
• Learning all aspects of the CED business
• Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Detail oriented
• Ability to solve problems
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Working Conditions:
Conditions vary and will include warehouse and external environments. Activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Compensation: $23 hourly.
