The TL;DR
• Role: Internship

• Team: Works in a supportive capacity across the Geological Engineering, Mine Engineering, and Lab departments.
• Mission: To provide students with practical, hands-on experience within the mining industry, enabling contributions to operational efficiency, safety, and scientific analysis.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Support: Provide general labor assistance to crews across the mine site, including material handling, site maintenance, equipment support, and other general operational tasks.
• Safety Compliance: Diligently adhere to all established safety procedures, company policies, and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Lab Assistance: Support critical laboratory operations by assisting with sample analysis, quality control, data interpretation, sample preparation, data entry, equipment calibration, and various analytical testing procedures.
• Engineering Support: Aid Geological and Mine Engineering departments by contributing to understanding geological formations, rock mechanics, resource evaluation, mine planning, design, operational efficiency, safety initiatives, data collection, field observations, drafting, report preparation, and other project-related tasks.
• Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with experienced personnel, learning from their expertise while actively participating in team-based initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a secondary education program, with planned enrollment for the Fall 2026 school year, and an academic interest in Geological Engineering, Lab, or Mine Engineering.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required; however, applicants must demonstrate a willingness to work diligently and responsibly in an industrial environment.
• Skills: Strong ability to follow instructions accurately, work effectively as part of a collaborative team, and maintain high safety awareness in a sensitive industrial setting.
