Position Summary: Intern

This internship provides an opportunity to engage in new product development activities, supporting active innovation and renovation projects. The intern will contribute to developing nutritional and wellness products across various formats, including gummies, chewable, and powders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature searches using internal and external databases.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ingredient interactions and effectiveness at various usage levels.
  • Plan and execute trials at lab/bench and/or pilot plant scale, potentially including design of experiments (DOE).
  • Collaborate effectively with the analytical lab and sensory team to assess the impact of ingredients on final product characteristics.
  • Analyze data gathered from lab and pilot trials, and develop clear conclusions based on findings.
  • Present findings and recommendations through formal presentations and detailed project reports.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Good knowledge of food science principles and comfortable working with lab/bench scale experiments and prototype creation.
  • A self-starter, result-oriented, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious, and takes initiative.
  • Ability to learn quickly, embrace change, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), collaborates well with others, and excels in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with basic data analysis in Excel or other tools (tables, charts, etc.) for presenting conclusions.

Areas of Study/Majors

Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in:

  • Food Science
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Related fields

Additional Requirements

  • Onsite internship at NPTC Bridgewater.
  • Starting Date: May 26th, 2026.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
