Position: Intern

Employment Type: Full-time, In-office

Gilbert Mechanical is actively seeking a motivated Intern to join our team and gain invaluable experience. This role offers exposure to and opportunities for collaboration with various dynamic groups within Gilbert, including Estimating, Project Management, and Service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist estimators in preparing accurate mechanical and/or electrical cost estimates for labor and materials required for new construction, tenant improvement, or maintenance projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed time, cost, and labor estimates.
  • Utilize specialized estimating software, currently QuoteExpress and Accubid, to perform project takeoffs.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Actively participate in job walks, bid reviews, and critical meetings.
  • Provide support to the Project Management team on ongoing construction projects.
