Internship Overview
The purpose of this internship is to provide meaningful professional hands-on experience to students demonstrating leadership potential and proven academic performance. Werfen seeks students majoring in Engineering, Finance, Business, or Marketing for this program, based on business needs.
Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
The Intern will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the team, including aiding other departments on related projects. We expect the intern to gain an in-depth knowledge of products and associated processes, particularly the process activities in which they will be directly involved. The intern will have opportunities to assist in nearly all aspects of the workflow.
- Perform entry-level work applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Review process procedures, change orders, equipment specifications, validation plans, and reports.
- Perform research on technology, equipment, and tooling to improve process quality, yield, or cost, and generate proposals based on this research.
- Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining department files.
- Perform experiments and analyze and interpret numerical data from experiments.
- Summarize findings using computer readouts, statistical summaries, graphs, and other methods.
Key Attributes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel tools.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, and initiative.
- Ability to work effectively within an interactive and energetic workplace.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required:
- Currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or Marketing.
- Completion of a minimum of 2 college semesters.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
Compensation
The hourly range for this role is $22/hr to $30/hr. Individual compensation will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience and completed academic level.
