Job Description: Intern

This internship at Forvis Mazars is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience, mirroring the responsibilities of entry-level associates. Interns will engage with client projects across various industries, allowing them to apply and test their technical skills. They will work closely with senior staff and management, fostering their professional development and skillset.

How You Will Contribute

• Preparing tax returns involving complex issues, with a strong focus on corporate income tax compliance.
• Preparing tax projections and developing other tax planning strategies.
• Using research services to enhance technical knowledge and provide valuable services to clients.
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
• Delivering Forvis Mazars’ commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with both internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing an accounting or finance degree.
• Solid technical accounting or finance knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam.
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall).

Additional Requirements

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Colorado Salary Information (Pursuant to Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)

• Colorado Salary Range: $30 USD per hour.
• Salary Determination: The final salary will be based on the individual’s experience, education, and skill set for the position.
• Total Compensation and Benefits: This includes salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
