Job Title: Intern

Overview:
As an intern at Forvis Mazars, you will acquire valuable experience to help you determine if a career in audit or tax within public accounting is suitable for you. You will be assigned to client engagements, similar to entry-level associates, allowing you to gain exposure to diverse industries and apply your technical accounting knowledge. Throughout your internship, you will collaborate with senior staff and management personnel, benefiting from their experience to develop your skillset.

Internship Structure:
Availability: Internships are offered in assurance, tax, or a combination of both, depending on local office requirements.
Workload: Internships can be part-time or full-time.
Duration:
• Winter semester internships typically run from early-January through April 15th.
• Summer internships generally run from early-June through mid-August.

Key Responsibilities (How You Will Contribute):
• Perform audit testing on financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
• Collaborate with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Assist in drafting management letter comments and the overall audit report.
• Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

Requirements and Qualifications:
The firm is seeking candidates who possess “Forward Vision” and demonstrate the following:
Technical Skills:
• Solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Strong computer skills preferred, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite.

Educational and Professional Eligibility:
• Must be actively working toward an accounting degree.
• Must meet the eligibility requirements for CPA licensure.

• Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office.
• Must be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
