This is an Intern position at Forvis Mazars, offering valuable experience to help candidates determine if a career in public accounting, specifically in audit or tax, is the right path for them.
Key Responsibilities and Contributions:
• Audit Testing: Completing audit testing on various financial statement accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
• Financial Analysis: Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Assisting in drafting management letter comments and contributing to the audit report.
• Client Engagement: Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
• Practical Experience: Working on client engagements similar to those assigned to entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and testing technical accounting knowledge.
• Skill Development: Learning from the experience of senior staff and management personnel to develop a comprehensive skillset.
Internship Availability and Duration:
• Areas: Internships are available in assurance, tax, or a combination of both disciplines, depending on local office needs.
• Schedule: Positions can be part-time or full-time.
• Typical Terms:
• Winter Semester: Generally runs from early-January through April 15th.
• Summer: Typically runs from early-June through mid-August.

• Technical Acumen:
• Solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Intern candidates must be working toward an accounting degree.
• Intern candidates must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility.
