Job Description: Internship Program

This is an internship program designed to introduce students to a career within the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection industry. The program aims to provide a truly immersive and hands-on experience, viewing every student as a potential hire and setting them up for success to achieve short and long-term career goals.

Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of an intern is to assist a design manager or project manager in successfully coordinating a project. This involves utilizing necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services. The position also focuses on the development of skills in design, estimating, and scheduling to gain a better understanding of the coordination processes within design-build construction.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
Support field labor.
• Gather and provide labor feedback.
• Assist with equipment & subcontractor procurement.
• Manage document control.
• Facilitate design, trade & subcontractor coordination.
• Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, and estimating project changes & impacts.
• Help in the development of project schedules.
• Assist in implementing and distributing safety tailgate meetings.
• Maintain records of signed safety tailgate meeting forms.
