Job Description
Evolve California is seeking Fall interns to join their grassroots effort focused on fully-funding public education. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain professional experience in advocacy, grassroots organizing, lobbying, and campaigning, learning the fundamentals of ground-up political work.

Internship Expectations:
• Assist with engaging supporters and volunteers, generating public excitement, and other grassroots campaign strategies.
• Tasks include writing blog posts, canvassing, and filming educational videos.
• Participate in frequent trainings on various organizing and leadership skills.
• Gain valuable professional experience in social media, website development, and content creation.
Intern Requirements:
• Must be located in the Bay Area and able to commute to the San Francisco office when needed.
• Must be of Junior standing or older (second year if a community college student).
• A minimum commitment of 10 hours/week.
• Availability for one full day per week to come into the office.
• Applicants must be fully vaccinated + boosted and able to wear a face mask in the office.
Intern Qualifications:
• A strong passion for public education, social, and economic justice.
• Outgoing with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in both grassroots and digital organizing.
• A desire to learn and openness to a challenge.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Internship Logistics:
• Start Date: Early September (flexible).
• End Date: Early December (flexible).
• Possibility of continuing the internship through the Spring, based on availability.
• The office is located in San Francisco near Civic Center BART.
• This is a hybrid office position; interns will work remotely and come into the office once a week, health and safety guidelines permitting.
