Job Description: Internship Overview
The Executives’ Club of Chicago internship program offers current college students an unparalleled opportunity to gain experience with the city’s leading business forum. Interns will collaborate closely with Exec Club staff to execute a variety of tasks that support the organization’s core functions: programming, partnerships, membership, and its overall engagement strategy with regional business leaders. This program is ideal for students interested in the operations of a non-profit organization and eager to learn more about Chicago’s diverse business community.
Internship opportunities are available across the following departments:

Potential Intern Tasks:
Interns will engage in a wide range of activities, including:
• Content Creation & Communications Support:
• Drafting content materials for events, such as agendas, discussion questions, and speaker remarks.
• Researching speaker leads and topic ideas, and maintaining a database of potential topics and speakers for future events.
• Drafting social media posts and other marketing materials to promote Exec Club members and events.
• Developing template letters for upcoming programs to drive ticket and table sales.
• Collaborating with the communications and content team on all digital material and website updates.
• Membership Engagement & Recruitment:
• Liaising with the membership team to support member recruitment and engagement efforts.
• Familiarizing oneself with the current membership database to understand existing members and identify suitable non-member companies for membership.
• Assisting in new member research, including conducting research on various industries, potential member companies, and C-Suite leaders who would be a good fit.
• Aiding in the recruitment of new members and preparing materials for pitch calls.
• Soliciting member feedback on programming and benefits, and creating reports on opportunities for continuous improvement of member benefits.
• Partnership & Sponsorship Support:
• Researching potential sponsor leads for the Exec Club’s partnership team, especially as they relate to specific events.
• Developing and maintaining an ongoing database of corporations that could serve as potential sponsorship leads.
• Researching and updating Exec Club staff with relevant Chicago corporations and business news.
• Serving as a strategic thought partner to help determine and develop ways for corporate partners to engage in specific programs based on their industry, clients, or corporate initiatives.
• Event & Administrative Support:
• Providing day-of support for events (as available), including assistance with badges, general event set-up, and guest greeting.
• Attending and participating in departmental and internal staff meetings.
• Performing administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A willingness to experiment, learn quickly, and be creative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to handle several tasks in varying stages of development.
• Capacity to work independently, including prioritization of tasks and self-management.
• Exceptional writing skills and a willingness to utilize them.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Eagerness to work in a team environment.
• Must have at least one business outfit for attendance at Exec Club programs.
Specifications:
• Hours: 8-16 hours per week. The specific schedule will be determined upon placement.
• Term: Ongoing opportunities are available for Summer, Fall Semester, or Spring Semester durations.
• Rate: This is an unpaid internship, but it is applicable for school credit.
