Job Description:

As a Qualcomm Embedded Engineering Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of the future. You will be part of a team of world-class engineers developing, implementing, and maintaining software for the most complex wireless devices in the industry.

Your role will involve making an immediate impact on the software development lifecycle of one of Qualcomm’s numerous software technologies, leveraging your computer science or engineering degree to solve real-world challenges.

Responsibilities:

• You will be involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of software for complex wireless devices.
• You will contribute to the software development lifecycle of one of Qualcomm’s numerous software technologies.
• You will work closely with a team of world-class engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Must be available for 11-14 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-September) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Embedded programming experience in C/C++/Assembly and operating system knowledge.
• Experience programming in resource-constrained environments (MIPS/Memory).
• Ability to implement complex algorithms on an embedded processor.
• Experience with embedded microcontroller programming, including developing device drivers.
• Expertise in real-time embedded programming in C/C++/Assembly for general purpose and heterogeneous processors including GPUs and DSPs.
• Knowledge of communication systems, communication theory, and digital signal processing (DSP, embedded firmware).
• Familiarity with wireless protocols such as 5G NR, LTE, and 802.11.
• Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation within the upcoming year (December 2025 to June 2026) are preferred.
