Job Description: Qualcomm Embedded Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)

This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of software for complex wireless devices. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers on a team, developing and implementing software across the entire software development lifecycle. You will leverage your computer science or engineering skills to make a tangible impact on Qualcomm’s technologies. The program emphasizes innovation and provides a collaborative environment to foster growth and learning. The internship is specifically for the Summer of 2025 (May-September), requiring a commitment of 11-14 weeks (12-14 preferred).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Availability for 11-14 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-September), with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Embedded programming experience in C/C++/Assembly and operating system knowledge.
• Experience programming in resource-constrained environments (MIPS/Memory).
• Experience implementing complex algorithms on embedded processors.
• Embedded microcontroller programming, including device driver development.
• Real-time embedded programming in C/C++/Assembly for general-purpose and heterogeneous processors (GPUs and DSPs).
• Knowledge of communication systems, communication theory, and digital signal processing (DSP, embedded firmware).
• Familiarity with wireless protocols like 5G NR, LTE, and 802.11.
• Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation between December 2025 and June 2026 are preferred.
