Job Description – Interim Engineering Intern – SW
This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of software for complex wireless devices at Qualcomm. As an Intern, you will join a team of world-class engineers and work on projects that push the boundaries of existing technologies and establish new standards for the future.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining software for Qualcomm’s wireless devices.
• Leveraging your computer science or engineering degree to contribute to the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborating with experienced engineers and contributing to impactful projects.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Available for 11-14 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-September) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages C, C++, or Python.
Preferred:
• Extensive programming experience in C/C++.
• Experience with object-oriented software design and development.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and networking protocols.
• Expertise in multi-threaded programming, multi-core and multi-processor systems, and system performance optimization.
• Experience in complex software debugging.
• Knowledge of modeling concepts (e.g., discrete event simulation, polyglot programming).
• Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., bridging, routing), especially in Linux.
• Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation date within the upcoming year (Dec 2025 to June 2026) are preferred.
