Job Description: Intelligence Analyst (Scientific and Technical)
The role of an Intelligence Analyst (Scientific and Technical) at JT4 involves working on designs related to developments in basic scientific and technical (S&T) research and development. This includes engineering and production techniques, technology, and the capabilities and characteristics of various weapons systems. S&T Intelligence Analysts may be engaged in a range of activities such as Research, Development, Test, Documentation, Storage, Reverse Engineering, Design, Human Intelligence (HUMINT), or All-Source Intelligence.
The essential functions and duties for this position include:
• Compiling, developing, analyzing, producing, and maintaining technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
• Maintaining libraries of data and documents that have been acquired or produced.
• Coordinating and working with external agencies.
• Serving as a direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels, from the initial quotation stage to the final design and test phases.
• Leading specialized technical groups/committees.
• Designing/drawing technical drawings/schematics.
Requirements for an Intelligence Analyst I include specialized technical training and one year of directly related experience. Candidates must have basic experience in gathering, compiling, analyzing, and developing products related to various threats, intelligence, and technological developments. This information is derived from researching databases, films, journals, images, HUMINT, SIGINT, and/or professional contacts. Additionally, the role requires strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to work under deadlines, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. The analyst must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a valid, state-issued driver’s license.
