What You’ll Actually Do
• Litigation Support: Provide comprehensive support to attorneys, assisting them through all phases of intricate litigation processes, from inception to resolution.
• Document and Discovery Management: Draft, thoroughly review, and meticulously manage a wide array of litigation documents and ensure proper handling of discovery materials.
• Legal Event Coordination: Orchestrate and coordinate critical legal events, including depositions, court hearings, mediation sessions, and extensive preparations for trials.
• Case File and Calendar Maintenance: Systematically maintain precise case files, manage detailed legal calendars, and vigilantly track critical deadlines to ensure proactive case progression.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact, effectively communicating with clients, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case developments and logistics.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An experienced professional possessing a robust background in litigation paralegal work, with a distinct preference for prior experience specifically within insurance defense matters.
• Experience: Demonstrated prior experience as a litigation paralegal, adept at managing complex legal workflows and contributing to successful case outcomes, ideally within the insurance defense sector.
• Skills: Strong organizational capabilities for managing extensive legal documentation; proven case management expertise; exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines; superior written communication skills for drafting legal documents; and excellent verbal communication for professional interactions.
