Inside Sales Representative Job Description

As an Inside Sales Representative at ADP, you will be responsible for selling ADP solutions, including payroll, tax, human resources, and benefits, to both new and existing clients over the phone and through virtual technology. You will act as a consultative business partner, introducing ADP’s leading solutions to various decision-makers, including Chief Financial Officers, Human Resources and Payroll Administrators, Small Business Owners, and more, at companies ranging from Fortune 100 organizations to small, innovative businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Grow Business & Achieve Sales Goals: Work independently and collaboratively with teams to close sales, win business, and reach sales targets.
Convert Prospects into Loyal Clients: Implement a targeted sales strategy to build a network and capture new business.
Deepen Existing Client Relationships: Strategically cultivate additional business within existing accounts.
Collaborate & Serve as an ADP Ambassador: Act as a trusted advisor, partner, and advocate for ADP to clients, internal partners, and your overall network, demonstrating grace under pressure and high ethical standards.

Required Qualifications:

Positive and Persistent: An upbeat, self-starter with the ability to cold call, manage time effectively, and communicate ideas clearly in various formats.
Agile Problem Solver: Able to find solutions and adapt to fast-paced change.
Continuous Learner: Open to new knowledge, growth, and seeking improvements.

Required Experience:

• A college degree is preferred but not required.
• Acceptable alternatives include:
• Two or more years of prior work experience or internships in Retail, Marketing, Business Development, Food Service, Insurance Sales, or other relevant fields.
• Military experience – skills like teamwork, resilience, negotiation, trust-building, and a “never lose” mentality are valuable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience meeting sales quotas.
• Ability to successfully build a network and leverage social media for sales.
