Job Description: Infrared Focal Plane Array Test Engineer
This position is for an Infrared Focal Plane Array Test Engineer located in Goleta, California, a charming city near the University of California, Santa Barbara campus. The position is part of the Santa Barbara Focalplane program within the Missiles and Fire Control business unit at Lockheed Martin.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and test infrared focal plane arrays: This involves utilizing computer frame grabbers, test electronics, and generating test plans.
• Perform data analysis: Analyze the collected data from the tests to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Troubleshoot electronic test boards and perform electronic design: Identify and resolve issues with test boards and contribute to electronic design improvements.
• Collaborate with a team: Work with colleagues to coordinate and direct test and systems-related activities.
Requirements:
• Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Lab experience.
• Experience with a scripting software language.
• US Citizenship: This position requires a government security clearance and all candidates must be US citizens.
• Security Clearance: The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Work Schedule:
• 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position varies depending on location:
• California and New York (excluding major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington DC: $55,300 – $106,000
• Major metropolitan areas in California and New York: $63,600 – $119,800
