About Custom Manufacturing & Engineering (CME):

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) is a 27-year-old, award-winning small business located in Tampa Bay. They design and manufacture custom-engineered and build-to-print/spec products and systems for aerospace/defense and industrial customers. Their product offerings include cables & wire harnesses, power supplies & distribution equipment, and special test equipment, utilized by the U.S. military and various industries globally. Job Description: Information Technology (IT) Intern

This winter internship provides hands-on experience in various IT areas. Responsibilities include:

• Gaining practical experience in IT systems, troubleshooting, and software development.
• Supporting infrastructure projects.
• Enhancing technical skills.

Compensation: Intern pay is based on academic year:

• Freshman: $16/hour
• Sophomore: $17/hour
• Junior: $18/hour
• Senior: $19/hour

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work onsite or remotely during the winter internship period.
Eligibility Restrictions: Applicants must be “U.S. Persons” as defined by ITAR/EAR regulations (due to access to controlled goods). Compliance with U.S. federal law requires verification of identity and work eligibility; CME cannot employ individuals who do not meet these criteria, including those on student or temporary work visas. Completion of Predictive Index Assessments is also required.
• Travel: Minimal and usually local to vendors (0-5%).
