Job Description: Information & Digital Technology (IDT) Internship – Summer 2025
HNI Corporation is seeking Information & Digital Technology (IDT) interns for their Muscatine, Iowa location during Summer 2025. This is a paid internship program offering hands-on experience and opportunities for professional development.
What you will do:
Interns will work on one or more projects contributing directly to the business. The program includes:
• Exposure to leadership
• Professional development (Lunch and Learns, training, skill-building workshops)
• Mentorship
• Volunteering opportunities
• Social events
• Company-paid apartment-style housing (based on need and availability)
Internships may focus on disciplines such as:
• Business Analysis
• Infrastructure Operations & Support
• Information Security
• Database Administration
• IT Service Management & Process
• Workplace Technologies
• Application Development & Support
• Generative AI
This internship program is designed to cultivate future talent for entry-level IDT careers at HNI.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a BA or MBA in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Junior-level coursework preferred.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA.
• Relevant work experience, internships, or involvement in activities like tutoring or business fraternities are preferred.
Required Skills:
• Strong technical acumen and a desire for an IDT career.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop alternative solutions and work effectively in individual and group problem-solving situations.
• Self-starter with high personal motivation and a desire to take initiative and ownership.
